Screen Printing FAQs
Yes! Once we receive your order we will process your artwork and provide a digital proof of your custom printed shirt design including ink colors, artwork size, and placement for your approval.
On screen printed shirts, each color in your artwork uses a separate screen so the number of colors will impact the cost. Please indicate the number of ink colors required in your artwork for each selected print location.
Choose from our selection of 30 standard ink colors, or if you don’t see the color you are looking for you can provide a custom Pantone (PMS) color. If you don’t know your Pantone color you can also provide an RGB Hex reference from your digital artwork file instead.
For designs with many colors Direct to Garment (DTG) digital printing may be more cost-effective for certain fabric styles, or lower quantity projects up to 144 units. Depending on the gradients or similar colors present in your artwork, we may also be able to use fewer screens for printing.

Fabric Softness/Quality
Based on your apparel type and color selections, one or more fabric options will be available, displayed by increasing level of quality/softness.
Standard cotton is very popular, available in many color and weight choices and commonly used for promotional printed tees and giveaways. Ringspun cotton has a distinctly softer and more deluxe feel than standard cotton due to the combing and spinning processes used to create the yarn. Solid-Merch recommends ringspun cotton or ringspun blends for concert tees, retail items or whenever your budget allows.
Polyester adds softness and moisture wicking when combined with standard or ringspun cotton. Cotton-poly blends are available in both solid colors and heather colors. Rayon adds additional softness and wicking plus stretch and breathability, and is used to create premium, ultra-soft tri-blends fabrics (commonly in the ratio 25%/50%/25% ringspun cotton, polyester and rayon).
We use well-known and highly crafted products from well known brands including Gildan, Hanes, Jerzees, Port & Company.
